About the Tour
Do you know what I say to my tourists at the very beginning of their sightseeing tour of New York City? “Hello, my name is Yaroslav, I’m your New York City tour guide. Today you’ll meet the City and you know what? In 6 hours you’ll know more about it than most New Yorkers.” What’s interesting is that none of my tourists for the last 12 years of my experience as a tour guide have ever disputed this rather bold statement after the end of their NYC tour.
Your private tour starts in the lobby of your NYC hotel, where your licensed NYC tour guide meets you and invites you to his comfortable and spacious minivan to the New York tour of Your Life! The duration of your tour is 6 hours (up to 7 hours in case of heavier than usual traffic). A 6 hour tour sounds like a long time, but don’t you worry - these hours will fly by as swiftly as a breeze over Hudson River because you’ll be busy with having great time. We’ll drive from one awesome sightseeing spot to another, making multiple stops, getting out of the car, walking around the streets of Manhattan, listening to stories about its history, people, architecture, enjoying breathtaking views and taking the best photos of the City and you in it.
Famous New York City street food snacking may become a part of our tour if you feel like it.
Here’s the list of places and things that you’ll see, learn about, take pictures of and discuss with your guide: Times Square, the Theater District, 42nd street, the Garment District, the world’s largest bus station, grids of streets and avenues, New York City boroughs and geography, Columbus Circle, the Tallest Buildings in USA and the world, Central Park as well as who lives in and around it, the Dakota Apartment Building, the ‘Strawberry Fields’ Memorial of John Lennon, the Museum of Natural History, the Upper West and Upper East sides, aka New and Old Money around Central Park, the Museum Mile, the Metropolitan Museum, billionaires’ streets, NYC taxis, Grand Army Plaza and The Plaza Hotel, Fifth Ave, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Rockefeller Center, the New York Public Library, Grand Central Terminal, United Nations, the Chrysler Building, the Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden, the Flatiron Building, Ladies Mile, Greenwich Village, Celebrities and where they live in NYC, SoHo, NoHo, cast iron architecture, Chinatown, Little Italy, the Manhattan Bridge, the Brooklyn Bridge, the Municipal District, the Financial District, skyscrapers and stone jungles, Wall Street and NY Stock Exchange, the Charging Bull, Statue of Liberty, 9/11 memorial, NYC Subway, where to dine, what to shop, what else to do and where to go in New York City, as well as where to go from New York and what to see around it.
