The High Line Walking Tour

Imagine an elevated city park at the height of the third floor ... which used to be a railway ... and now has become the coolest urban walking overpass on the planet ... Isn't it hard to imagine? On our High Line Walking Tour, you will not only imagine it, but also see it with your own eyes, experience it and capture it in a photo or video, fortunately, this New York landmark is one of the most photographed and visited sightseeing places of our city!

The history of this unusual “floating” at 30 feet park is no less bright and fascinating than its photo opportunities, and we will tell you its story in exciting details. High Line is not only a vibrant park with panoramic views and a “gift for bloggers”, it is also a whole phenomenon in urban and youth culture, architecture, street art and even philosophy. After all, as soon as this new attraction appeared on the city map, the New York districts of Chelsea, Meatpacking and Hudson Yards literally got a new life and sparkled with new colors.

We will start our walk from a place in the Meatpacking District of New York, where 30 years ago no tourist had set foot (except in search of racy and even risqué adventures), and now this entire area has changed, gentrified and has become one of the most visited places in New York city.

We will continue our walking tour of the High Line with a story about the architectural sights or rather marvels,  that literally surround this unique park. Sometimes tourists and I get to see one of the world's many celebrities on their balcony overlooking the High Line. But we cannot guarantee this happening on each and every tour, of course :).

While we walk we can if we wish have some coffee and a lobster roll or oysters in the famous Chelsea Market, because our route along the High Line passes just above this former building of Nabisco factory, where the famous Oreo cookies were first born, and now, in addition to the Market, it houses Google and YouTube offices.

We will finish our fascinating walk along the High Line with another pearl of New York urban architecture - the Hudson Yards district with its unique but infamous Vessel structure and the Edge observation deck.

During the High Line Walking Tour, we will see the following sights of New York:

  • Whitney Museum of Contemporary American Art;

  • Pier "Little Island";

  • High Line Park;

  • Meatpacking district;

  • Chelsea area;

  • Chelsea Market;

  • Hudson Yards.

This is a private tour, a licensed sightseeing guide of New York City is at your disposal throughout the entire tour.
